Copy Link Bookmarklet

Bookmarklets for copying a link to the currently open page in various formats.

The easiest way to copy a page link: 1. Visit any page. 2. Click our bookmarklet. 3. Paste the link somewhere.

Do you write or keep notes about the websites that you are visiting?

With these bookmarklets(?) and just a single click you copy a link to the currently open page. It features the title of the page in one of various formats (e.g. Rich Text, Markdown, HTML). Furthermore, the most common tracking IDs are removed automatically.

Installation

There are two ways to install the bookmarklets.

A: Fast & Dirty (No favicons, one at a time)

Drag the button with your desired format into your Bookmarks Toolbar; or right click the button and select "Bookmark Link".

B: Clean Import (Favicons, all at once)

Step 1: Choose the desired output formats

Step 2: Import into the browser

Chrome

"Menu" > "Bookmarks" > "Bookmark Manager" > "Menu (top right)" > "Import Bookmarks" > Open the previously downloaded file

Firefox

"Menu" > "Bookmarks" > "Manage Bookmarks" > "Import and Backup" > "Import Bookmarks from HTML" > Open the previously downloaded file

Safari

"File" > "Import From" > "Bookmarks HTML File" > Open the previously downloaded file

Edge

"Menu" > "Settings" > "Import browser data" > Next to "Import browser data now" click "choose what to import" > Select "Favorites or bookmarks HTML file" > "Choose File" > Open the previously downloaded file

Opera

Menu" > "Bookmarks" > "Import bookmarks and settings" > Select "Bookmarks HTML file" > "Choose File" > Open the previously downloaded file

Uninstall

Right click on the bookmarklet and select "Delete Bookmark"
